Dr. Sachno was born and raised in Staunton, Virginia. She attended Robert E. Lee High School, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1994. She then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Virginia. Dr. Sachno is a 2002 graduate of the VCU School of Dentistry. She served on active duty in the U.S. Navy for four years as a general dentist. In 2006, she returned to Richmond and worked as an associate general dentist for one year before accepting a full-time faculty position in the Department of General Practice at the VCU School of Dentistry. In 2009, she began a three-year orthodontic residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she graduated in 2012 with both a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry. She is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Currently, she is an adjunct faculty member in the VCU School of Dentistry, Department of Pediatric Dentistry, where she teaches interceptive orthodontics to the pediatric residents.

Dr. Sachno has a passion for teaching and makes patient education a top priority. She also enjoys giving back to her community through the Virginia Mission of Mercy Project, as well as dental mission trips, such as a recent mission trip to Nicaragua. She is an avid tennis player, loves spending time with her family and friends, and enjoys traveling, swimming, skiing, hiking, and cycling.
